on the gun control debate. thank you for staying with us tonight. i'm maureen ume. >> and i'm laura evans. the edge begins with a discussion that will likely carry on well into the new year, gun policy. regardless of which side of the debate you are on, the goal is ending gun violence. a crowd gathered in the columbia heights neighborhood for a vigil to do just that. the sorry yil and march to a nearby church was in honor of 20 children and six school staff members killed in connecticut. president obama says this is not just an issue for lawmakers and law enforcement. he says it's going to take all americans standing up and saying enough on behalf of our kids. >> with what took place in connecticut, many citizens are feeling a driving force to come out and speak in opposition to the gun violence which plagues our country. >> some people we spoke with tonight support an all-out gun ban. others say there should be a way to cut down on the violence while still protecting the secretary amount. in newtown, the last of the school shooting victims has now been late to rest. 17-year-old josephine
